How to log in to the GST portal

Go to the official GST portal, click Login in the top-right corner, and enter your username and password set at the time of GST registration. First-time users log in with the temporary credentials emailed after registration and are prompted to set a permanent username and password.

Click "Forgot Password" on the login page, enter your GSTIN or username, and verify with the OTP sent to your registered mobile and email. You'll then be able to set a new password and log in immediately.

Common GST login errors and fixes

"Invalid username or password" usually means a typo or an expired temporary password — use the forgot-password flow rather than retrying repeatedly, which can temporarily lock the account. "OTP not received" is most often a registered-mobile or email issue, which needs an amendment application to update contact details on record.
